Our requirements to applicants and selection process

• In what year of my university studies can I start working for BDO Unicon?

  We have no particular focus on the two-tier higher education system (i.e. bachelor – master) and welcome primarily those applicants who are prepared to work full time. We believe such applicants can be found mainly among graduates or undergraduates. Furthermore employment terms and conditions are discussed individually with each applicant. Part time work is also a possibility in the case of particularly high promise applicants, subject to the partner's approval.

• If I fail at my first attempt to pass the test and interview, is a new attempt possible? If yes, how soon after the failed one?

  You can make a new attempt to pass our test and interview in 6 months.

• What is included in the test?

  Our test has been designed in particular to assess the quality of your theoretical training (in the chosen direction) and also to check your knowledge of English and IQ level.

Employment terms and conditions

• What kind of a contract do I sign with the employer?

  A labor contract effective without any limitations in time.

• How is staff training organized in the company?

  The corporate university “BDO Unicon Management Center” develops continuous training programs for employees of all levels and in all business lines. We are speaking here of a comprehensive range of the required knowledge – from an advanced user level for office applications to implementation of new techniques and knowledge in the employee's specializm.

• Are there any corporate events at the company?

  There are joint staff outings, trainings, sports competitions and many other events held at regular intervals. BDO Unicon HR management makes a special focus on the development of our corporate culture. New employees find it much easier to get acquainted with their colleagues and to understand our traditions and values in an informal environment.

• Will it be possible for me to get transferred to a different practice in the future? Is it possible to get transferred from one industry team to another within the audit practice?

  We welcome our employees’ aspirations to find an optimum sphere where they can put their skills and expertise to the best possible use. However, we would recommend all applicants to be extremely careful and responsible in their selection of a professional direction for a future career, because employees with extensive track record and industry experience enjoy significant career advantages in certain areas.

• What will my workplace look like?

  BDO Group practices an Open Space office approach. Each employee has his/her own workplace, but stays within the common space of a big workroom. This approach simplifies interaction in divisions and facilitates considerably the communications among individual employees.

• What dress code is practiced in the company?

  BDO Unicon is an international company. Therefore we adhere to the European corporate dress code standards, which require business style clothing from all employees.
